Hey! I’m Sara Kimura. I’m blessed to be an undergraduate student at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA studying film, creative writing and life. period. I’m so grateful that you’ve ended up here at Cooler Than Me Blog which has four main influences:
1. Timothy Ferriss, author of the 4-Hour Work Week, who once challenged students to get in contact with super successful/famous people and get some sort of intellectual or thought-provoking question answered by these ‘cool’ people.
2. My mom, who read what Timothy Ferriss wrote about this little experiment and challenged me to do it and write a blog about it.
3. Dani Johnson, multi-millionaire, who has instilled the following in me: “Find somebody who has what you want, and do what they do.”
4. Alec McBayr and Alan Beard’s talk entitled, How to Pursue Your Calling in the Entertainment Industry, and their call for writers to write. Everyday. And put it online. Because it’s free. And easy. And because it’s ridiculous if we don’t.
Most of the people I know see celebrities every time they go to Starbucks. Unfortunately, I don’t have that kind of luck, so I’m using my smarts instead.
I hope you enjoy reading about all the wisdom these ‘cooler than me’ people have to offer and that you’re not only inspired to ask more questions of ‘cool’ people yourself, but that you’ll follow in their footsteps.
“Whoever is faithful with little will be made ruler over much.” –Luke 16:10
